The Discipline, Defined

AI PR.
Not AI SEO.

When someone asks AI who to trust, the answer is already written, assembled from the public record. AI PR is the discipline of writing that record. Earned. Verified. Machine-readable. Yours.

The Definition

The page the machines can quote.

AI PR

AI PR is the discipline of building verified, consistent, earned authority so that AI systems such as ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity and Claude cite and recommend a person, firm or brand. Where AI SEO optimizes web pages, AI PR builds the public record AI draws its answers from: earned media citations, consistent entity facts and machine-readable proof.

The Difference

You can't optimize your way into being trusted.

Optimization is table stakes. Machines still have to read you. But AI systems don't recommend the best-optimized page. They recommend the best-documented reputation.

AI SEO · AEO · GEO

Optimizes your pages

  • Rewrites your own website
  • Adds schema and structure
  • Chases model updates
  • Controls what you say about you

AI PR

Builds your record

  • Earns citations in real journalism
  • Locks your facts across the entire web
  • Compounds with every placement
  • Controls what everyone says about you
AI systems trust what others publish about you. So do people.

The Method

Four ways your name gets into the record.

I

Real press coverage

Journalists quoting you, by name, in outlets machines already trust. Earned, never bought. This is the citation layer everything else stands on.

II

Your own newsroom

A website that reads like a source, not a brochure. Verified facts, real case studies and answers written so both a reporter and a machine can quote them.

III

A public voice

LinkedIn, YouTube and the places real conversations happen, saying the same true things your press coverage says. Consistency is what machines call trust.

IV

Television

The multiplier. A broadcast appearance produces the footage, transcripts and third-party proof that feed every other channel at once.

The Standard

Nothing publishes without a source. Nothing. If a claim can't survive a journalist's fact-check, it doesn't leave this office.
No purchased awards
No pay-to-play placements
No unverifiable claims
Every fact traceable to a primary source

Questions

Asked and answered.

What is AI PR?

AI PR is the discipline of building verified, consistent, earned authority so that AI systems such as ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity and Claude cite and recommend you. It combines earned media coverage, consistent entity facts and machine-readable proof so the public record AI draws from points to you.

What does AI PR mean at Christine Haas Media?

The term is used differently across the industry. Many agencies use AI PR to mean public relations for AI companies. Others use it for AI-search optimization services. At Christine Haas Media, AI PR is our methodology: earning the coverage, citations and verified record that make AI systems recommend you, whatever your field. Our clients aren't AI companies. They're attorneys, physicians, founders and executives who want to be the answer when someone asks AI who to trust.

How is AI PR different from AI SEO, AEO or GEO?

Those disciplines optimize your own web pages so machines can read them. Necessary, but not sufficient. AI systems decide who to recommend based on the record around you: earned citations, third-party lists, reviews and consistent facts across the web. AI PR builds that record. You can't optimize your way into being trusted. You have to earn the record.

Why do AI systems recommend some firms and not others?

AI assembles answers from sources it treats as credible: earned press, established directories and verified, consistent entity information. Firms that appear in that corpus, with the same name, credentials and claims everywhere, get recommended. Firms with inconsistent facts or no third-party record get skipped, no matter how good their own website is.

Can you guarantee AI will recommend me?

No, and you should walk away from anyone who guarantees it. AI systems change constantly and nobody controls their outputs. What we can do is build the verified record those systems consistently draw from, track your visibility daily and grow it month over month. Everything we build survives a fact-check, which is why it lasts.

Do you buy placements or use pay-to-play coverage?

Never. Purchased awards and pay-to-play placements are brand liabilities. AI systems and journalists both discount them, and they collapse under scrutiny. Everything we build is earned, verified and traceable to a primary source.

How long does AI PR take to work?

Some fixes move fast. Entity corrections and machine-readable proof can start changing what AI says about you within weeks. The compounding part, earned citations building on earned citations, is a program of months. That's also why it's defensible. Anything built in a weekend can be copied in a weekend.

The answer is already being written.

Every day, AI tells someone who to trust in your field. The only question is whose record it finds.
